Top Gear review of Chamois Butt’r - Page 38 in Bicycling Australia Magazine, Nov. ‘09:
“Chamois cream is a product that has long been in use in Europe and the USA, but not so popular here in Oz. I can remember the number of questions on Australian bicycle forums after Hell on Wheels came out and Erik Zabel was shown having it rubbed into his knicks. This is changing and chamois cream is one of the hot products on the Aussie market. This particular version is a glycerol based cream and is available in a tube or tub. The European version has a ‘traditional European cooling formula’. It’s nice and thick to apply and doesn’t sting if you already have chaffing.”
Review of Chamois Butt’r – Page 26 in Outer Edge Magazine, Dec – Jan, 2010:
“Yes, a lubricant but not for what you’re thinking. This is what those in the know use to improve riding comfort: ride harder, longer, faster…. Prevents chafing and rubbing where the sun doesn’t shine and washes off skin and clothes easily.”
Testimonial for Chamois Butt’r from Jenny, 46 – avid recreational rider:
“As a woman who rides frequently, I have heard all the advice about seats, nicks, padding, chafing and saddle sores.
One goal everyone has in common is to avoid the pain of a sore crutch!
I have been looking for a cream or oil that relieves the problem of fabric rubbing and soothes the pain that can build up after a few km in the saddle.
I have found that the lubricant Chamois Butt’r is more effective than the expensive oil I was using. I have been surprised at the difference and am now keen to get myself a big tube of the stuff!”
Review of buh bump HRM electrode cream - Page 26 in Outer Edge Magazine, Dec – Jan, 2010:
“Highly conductive electrode cream for accurate and consistent readings. On the four-day Cape to Cape MTB race buh-bump not only provided a better reading it also protected and soothed the rub zone between chest and electrode and even lived up to the marketing claim: “works and smells better than spit!”
Testimonial for buh-bump from Lindsay, owner of Chain Reaction Training, WA:
” Buh-bump – I’ve always had problems picking up HR readings just by using water or relying on sweat to keep the sensors moist on the HR strap. Depending on climate conditions and particularly in winter this method often didn’t work especially when first placing the HR monitor strap on – I’d be half way down the road on my bike for my training ride realising the HR sensors weren’t picking up the monitor – very frustrating. Since I started using the Buh-bump crème I haven’t had any problems with the sensors and read out of my HR……………it works each and every time. GREAT product and great idea.”
